Although 2017 was not a busy year for me the year brought new adventures and looking back I got some cracking images!
Highlights included working as stills photographer on Solis and The Revenger:An Unromantic Comedy, Fink at the Forum, Kojo, Rag n Bone Man, Worth It, The Brits and much more.
A big thank you to all my clients and colleagues!
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy & Healthy 2018
Fink at the Forum
On 16th Nov I had the immense pleasure of photographing Fink at the O2 Forum, Kentish Town, London. Copyright Chris Lopez 2017
I had the absolute pleasure of working with one of the most talented guys in the business. I worked with Tommy about 12 years ago on the first Strictly album so was delighted to catch up with him again after all these years for the release of his compilation album with Universal music.
Whilst shooting 3 promos and a TV ad, Tommy and I managed to squeeze out a few stills at Cafe De Paris, London.
Tommy smashed it!

I met singer songwriter, Kojo, nearly 20 years ago and we’ve kept in contact ever since. When Kojo reached out for an updated shoot I thought it would be a great chance to catch up and shoot at the same time. Kojo was flying off to Barbados the following day so time was crucial and luckily for him the stars alined and we met up on a very wet day in Nottinghill.
Kojo hasn’t changed a bit in 20 years and he was vibing to do some shots together. I did a few shots against some wicked wall paper in a pub to get us both warmed up, followed by some street shots around the neighbourhood.
I wanted to get more out of Kojo and break his hard look so as we took shelter from the rain under the doors of what use to be the club Subterranea, I asked him to start shaking his dreds around. The results were amazing!

The Revenger:An Unromantic Comedy
Throughout the whole of July I was employed as stills photographer for this low budget UK feature film.
Written and directed by Mark Murphy starring Rob Kazinsky, Samantha Barks, Tony Way, Rachael Hurd-Wood, Ed Speleers, Ivan Kaye and Anna Chancellor.
Rare for me to be employed for the entire length of the production but with a great cast and cohesive crew I enjoyed every second of it.
Here are a few of my favourite shots.

Introducing Rupert Mealing, a poet, an artist and an actor. Rupert booked me to shoot an updated head shot for future castings. We smashed out some amazing shots in 20mins, perfect shoot. Photo by Chris Lopez 05/17
I had the pleasure of photographing Carole King receiving a special disc in recognition of the multi million selling album, Tapestry. At the end of the shoot I photographed Carole with her daughter/ manager Sherry Goffin. Gorgeous family. Photo by Chris Lopez for Sony Music UK.
