Kylie Minogue

The Warner Music Christmas bash at the Ring O Bells pub in Compton Martin, Bristol was incredible this year! My brief was to shoot Kylie Minogue and Duran Duran in a pub in Somerset so as I pulled up to a tiny pub in the high street of a tiny village I was unsure if I was in the right place. Arctic lorries and tour buses took up most of car park.  The pub was busily being prepared for what has to be the biggest night of the year for the locals.  A select fee locals and Warner Music staff bused in from London were treated to 4 bands, free beer and wine and brilliant fun.

The first band Formation were a new signing and really grabbed the crowds attention followed by another great band Vant who ripped up the pub with screaming guitars and vocalist, Matt’s almost Cobain presence.

The third act was none other than Kylie Minogue with her 4 backing vocalists and full band squeezed onto the stage. Kylie was amazing and played some of her old classics intertwined with some superb Christmas hits which definitely put the crowd in the Crimbo spirit. She sang a duet with fiancé Joshua Sasse.

Duran Duran came on last and smashed through hit after hit. Simon Le Bon dedicated ‘Save a Prayer’ to the families of the victims of the Paris attacks and then got behind the bar and started serving! Legend!
